The inaugural Scenic Rim International Day of Rural Women Celebration was held on Sunday 15 October 2023 at the Kerry Memorial Hall.
Local rural woman, and amazing artist, Laura Frank entertained while everyone enjoyed an afternoon of food, drinks, raffle prizes, and stunning scenery.

The UN's International Day of Rural Women Rural Women’s Day supports the "crucial role that women and girls play in ensuring the sustainability of rural households and communities, improving rural livelihoods and overall wellbeing."
The aim of the International Day of Rural Women is to recognise the critical role and contribution of rural women, and this event is no different. Held at Kerry Memorial Hall, this event aims to bring together and celebrate women of the Scenic Rim who often work behind the scenes.
All proceeds from the event were donated to the Zonta Club of Beaudesert, whose members work tirelessly in our local community to build a better world for women and girls – a world where every woman is able to reach her full potential and where no woman lives in fear of violence.
